Is there a way to allow Amelia Employee users to schedule overlapping appointments? While also preventing the public from scheduling overlapping appointments?
Essentially we'd like to be able to schedule overlapping appointments if we think it's appropriate while preventing a public user from accidentally doing the same thing in an inappropriate time-frame.
There isn't a possibility for employees to schedule overlapping appointments neither in Amelia with its current built-in features. That is the same for front-end and back-end bookings. The number of appointments that can be booked for one time slot is the same to the number of employees to that service/time. So, one employee one appointment at a time.

Is it possible to modify the amount of time that appointments require after they're scheduled?
Essentially we're running into issues where we know certain clients take much less time than the default appointment time (which most clients utilize all of).
And we would like to either be able to overlap appointments (which isn't an option, and that's ok!) or change how long appointments are scheduled for on a case-by-case basis.
Unfortunately, that isn't possible either. You can't change the duration of the appointment as that is the duration of the Service actually, so you would need to change the Service duration but that would apply to all new booked appointments and not the ones in the past.
There are Extras that are created for Services, and they can add duration to the service/appointment, but still they are chosen in the booking process. Service+ one of the Extras. , so I am not sure if that could help your use case.
