We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi guys, I'm really interested in Amelia but wonder if you could answer a couple of questions please. We are building a website for a client to run online meetings. These meetings are built using ACF Pro and Custom Post Type UI so the customer can enter all the details for the meeting. They would like users of their site to be able to book these meetings. This is where I came across your plugin.
If we create an event using your plugin (that will contain the information for the meeting), can the event have a custom field(s) that will essentially be the link to the meeting post page?
Also, can we notify the user by email, 1 day before and on the day of the meeting that it is about to take place and include the link to the Custom Post Type meeting?
Many thanks for any help you can give
Chris
Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for your interest in Amelia.
For each event in Amelia you can create custom fields, but those custom-fields needs to be created in Amelia, you can not link to external custom-fields. More about custom-fields can be found here: https://wpamelia.com/custom-fields/
Regarding the notifications, we have several notifications that you can use, detailed explanation is here: https://wpamelia.com/notifications/
In the notifications you can add placeholders for the information of the particular event, but the link can not be added automatically. We have Zoom integration for online meetings, if that helps.
Hi Nevena, thank you so much for getting back to me 😁
I did look at the custom field documentation but it only seemed to be for a customer/user and not an event. Just to confirm, can I create a custom field called "Meeting URL" for instance and then populate it with my own value (not dynamic)?
This is crucial to our requirements so my apologies for keep asking 😁
Many thanks again Nevena
Chris
Hi Chris,
Yes, custom fields are per event, you make custom-field and assign it to the event you want. In the Text content custom field you can add Meeting URL for example, if it is ok to you to show it on the booking form, that is possible.
Hi Nevena, thank you so much again for your reply and that is awesome news :D
Looks like Amelia is perfect for our requirements and we should be buying it soon
Many thanks
Chris
