Could someone please help me to understand exactly what the "Use service duration for booking a time slot" option does and when you might want to enable it?

I've compared what happens when it's enabled vs. disabled but couldn't see any differences!

    Hello Daniel,

Apologies for replying a bit later, we don't work on weekends.

When this option "Use service duration for booking a time slot" is enabled, the available time slots for booking on the front-end will be calculated using the duration of the service. If this option is disabled, the Default time slot step is taken into consideration, so, for example, if you have 30 min for this option, the available time slots on the front-end will be:

    9-9.30; 9.30-10; 10.30-11; etc.

And if the option Use service duration for booking a time slot is enabled and you have, for example, a service with duration 1 hour and another one with duration 2 hours

the available time slots for the first one will be

    9-10; 10-11; 11-12; etc.

    and for the second one

    9-11; 11-13; etc.

    Hope this helps!

The default time slot step option applies to all of the time slots in the plugin - duration, buffer times, work hours, etc.
