The same person can RSVP for a specific event multiple times. (See attached with example of event with one person registered 3 times, and nother registered 2 times.)
There is not a way for a participant to see all of the events that he/she has registered for... and so they RSVP more than once...
This distorts the registration numbers, which can falsely hit the upper limit for registration, and prevent others from RSVPing.
Ideally, when a person (same user name / email - a recognizable entity) has RSVPd, then any future attempt to RSVP would get a message saying that he/she has already RSVP'd for that event.

There isn't a limitation for someone to book the same event multiple times in Amelia with its current built-in features, unfortunately. We have this feature request in our list and I will add your vote to it, so it will be considered for implementation in the future.
