Hi
I would like to offer several different services on my side. The services belong to different classes and it would not make sense to group them as they have nothing to do with each other.
In general I am very happy with your catalog view. But I would like to pre-filter the categories depending on the page a user clicks on (e.g. show category A and B on page X and show category C and D on page Y)
How can I make make this possible?
If it is not by default possible, what would be the CSS code to hide certain categories?
Thanks a lot for your support.
Regards
Markus
Hello Markus,
Apologies for replying a bit later, we don't work on weekends.
You can probably use the shortcodes with categories' IDs to achieve what you want. With these shortcodes you can show one category per shortcode, so you can have different categories on different pages.
[ameliacatalog category=1] if you want to show only the services from a category with ID 1
You can find all of the shortcodes you can use for Amelia in our FAQ section.
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,
Hi Marija
thanks for your very fast feedback. I am already aware of this short code. I have to deal with six different categories. Theses six are grouped into two that are shown on two different pages. Page one should only show the first three categories and page two the other three categories.
A code like [ameliacatalog category=1 category=2 category=3] is not working.
If there is no short code available for my task I would be also ok to implement via CSS code. In such case please let me know how the code would look like.
Thank you very much. Wish you a very nice Tuesday.
Regards,
Markus
Hello Markus,
You are welcome.
No, unfortunately, those shortcodes can work with only one ID, not more. So you can have only one category per shortcode in Amelia.
It isn't possible to change this with CSS, unfortunately.
Thank you, have a nice one as well!
