I'm contacting you because I'm currently having troubles integrating Google calendar sync to Amelia. One way is working perfectly (Amelia -> Google Calendar), while in the other way, the private bookings created directly in google calendar doesn't block the respective time slots inside Amelia, allowing the users to still create appointments which is giving us a hard time. Is there any way as a developer to check the sync status or force the sync between the two ? I'm trying to debug this totally blindly as there isn't any documentation for developers so if you have any clue to make it work I'll be very grateful.
Thank you in advance for your response and your help.
Please go to Amelia settings/Integrations/Google Calendar and enable "Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots". Also, below that, increase the "Max number of returned events" to a bigger value (2.000 is a good example).
All of this is actually already enabled and the number of returned event set to 200, but I’m going to try max it out to see if it works.
I just wanted to know, how many times a day does the sync execute ? Is it via a php cron task ? If it isn’t, is there any way to force the synchronization for debugging purpose ?
The problem is, I don’t have any clue on the delay between the actual configuration change and the moment when it will affect the calendar, so I can’t know for sure if I’m supposed to wait more or if it just doesn’t work correctly.
So as expected, the modification that I did earlier today (6hr ago) didn’t change anything at all. All the time slots are still available.
If you have any answer for my last message and a global solution for this problem, please update me as soon as you can since I cannot work correctly until it’s resolved...
As soon as there is an appointment (or an event) created in Amelia, a Google Calendar busy event is being created. The delay may be a few seconds, but not more than that.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I’m aware of that, and as stated earlier, the problem isn’t about Amelia transferring appointments into Google calendar, which works perfectly.
The problem is in the other way, that Amelia doesn’t correctly fetch the busy events already made inside Google calendar to block the respective time slots in the Planning.

That should work.

Done. You should be able to access the calendar and test it by yourself.

Hi Yann
Unfortunately, I can't add that calendar. This is the message I see:
Can you please check again and let me know?

I sent you another invitation, it should work fine now. Be sure to select the right google Account if you have multiple ones

Thanks Yann
That worked.
I can see that you have these events scheduled for today:
So, when I connected my Employee to this calendar, I couldn't create an appointment during those hours, only 12:00 is available for booking:
Tomorrow, you have these:
And you can see that these hours do not appear in Amelia when I try to create a new appointment:
Same goes for the only employee you have created:
When I add a test busy event in your calendar at 13:00:
That time slot is blocked from Amelia:
The time it took for me to create an event, and to get to the time picker in Amelia was enough to pull the event.
I cannot replicate the issue you're experiencing.

Aleksandar Vuković
