I purchased the paid amelia plugin yesterday configured everything and followed the step by step guide to syncing the google calendar.

1.the google calendar hasnt been imported into ameilia so therefore amelia is showing appointment availability when there isnt any.

2.When we have done a trial run through i can book a client in and it adds automatically into the calendars but if i were to cancel it via the back end it doesnt become ready to rebook for a while...over 30minutes.

    3. Also when i delete an appointment created in the amelia api on the website from my google calendar the appointments dont become available to rebook.

    Hello Danielle,

    Thank you for your purchase.

    1. Google sync in Amelia works in a way that Amelia appointments will be created in the employees' Google calendars, but Google events are not created in Amelia, the time slots of the Busy events in Google will be blocked for booking in Amelia (if the option Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google Calendar Settings is enabled).

    2. I am not sure if I understood this quite well, could you please tell me are you trying too book the same time slot on the front-end? When an appointment is cancelled that time slot should be available for booking on the front-end when the booking form is loaded again.

3, There isn't a possibility to cancel or delete Amelia appointments in Google and that to be synced to Amelia. Amelia appointments can be cancelled/deleted in Amelia only.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

    Hi

    Thanks so much for replying.

All my Google calendar entries are set to busy the remove Google calendar busy slots is enabled but still all the booking slots are available to book.

Also when doing a test run booking a 9.30 am slt it loads into my Google cal at 10.30? when I'm in Amelia I can see the live calendar is the same as my Google account yet it out the appointment in an hour later.

So syncing my busy slots into Amelia even with all relevant boxes ticked or enabled it isn't blocking need in Amelia.

    You are welcome, Danielle.

Could you please check if you have set your City timezone in your WordPress -> Settings -> General as this timezone setting applies to Amelia as well? Also, please check your Google calendar timezone setting, if it is the same as your WordPress.

If you have some bigger number of Google events, please increase the number for the option Maximum Number Of Events Returned: in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google calendar settings.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen that my wordpress time zone wa inccorrect so that i changed i also increased the google events... but i still have all my availabilty viewable in amelia when i shouldnt have anything availbale for a number of weeks. How can i test that amelia is infact connected to google correctly I have been through the setting twice and they remained the same. But there isnt any diagnostics to show they are communicating correctly ?

    Hello Danielle,

You can check if the connection of an employee to their Google calendar is working well if you create one appointment for that employee and see if that appointment is created in their Google calendar as well. Please let me know if this helped.

Hi yes I have tested this already. When I enter an appointment in Amelia it immediately shows in my Google calendar. But the issue is Amelia isn't blocking off my Google busy slots so when I'm going to add in an appointment in, everything is available when it shouldn't be.

    Hello Danielle,

Could you please check have you enabled the option Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google Calendar Settings and have you increased the number for the option Maximum Number Of Events Returned: there?

Also, please check if your events in Google have status Busy.

These things have all been done also..

Google calendar all set to busy

Amelia set to remove Google busy slots

    Amelia increase maximum number events

  • [deleted] replied

Thank you, I am not sure why would that happen then. Do you have events in your Google calendar with status busy? It isn't possible to block days in Amelia if you set it that way in Google - for example, if you set 3 days as Busy in Google - that can't be blocked like that in Amelia. You need to have separate events each day in order for them to be blocked in Amelia.

In my Google calendar I have for example 4 time slots of 40mins each on a Monday evening all set as busy.

But in Amelia with all the things set correctly they still show as those slots are available. It's as though the busy slots in Google aren't registering in Amelia.

    Thank you, Danielle.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look. I will create one test employee and connect it to my Google calendar to check this out.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

Hi, I have similar issue. None of my entries in Google are coming into Ameila, but entries in Amelia are going to google.  I have set:

Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots ON
Maximum Number Of Events Returned: 2000

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

    Hello Tom,

I see you have opened a new ticket for your issue so we can continue solving this issue there. Thank you.

Danielle had this issue because she had more calendars in her Google, and the one that she wanted to be blocked in Amelia wasn't the one synced to the Amelia employee.
