I've tried lite version of Amelia with PHP Mail. I haven't seen any mail in Spam of either employee or customer.
I read a lot of reviews regarding email not sent to customer even using SMTP or WP Mail. Honestly, I can't take any risk of email errors as this is the main functionality for my requirement. So, do I need to check any prerequisites before I buy an upgrade to avoid any surprises.
Also, I've read that getting refund within 15-days also seems to be not easy. Do we have any trial version or so?
I really like Amelia's features and did not want to move to other plugins. But these questions are keeping me from going for it. Your genuine help is much appreciated.

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
You can check PHP version on the server (it should be above 7.0). Also, if you use gmail, you should enable "Allow less secure apps" and use TLS 587 as a port and secure. If you configure SMTP and WP mail right the email notifications will be sent. If you experience any issue after the purchase you will receive premium support so you can contact them in Amelia section of this support platform and they will be glad to help.
As for the refund, we have '15 days money back' guarantee, so if you experience any issue and you want a refund you can request it from our store page (for which you will get credentials after the purchase) in the first 15 days from the purchase. All refunds are approved, it just takes a couple of days for Paddle to process them and return the money.

So, if I use SMTP mails will be sent/received directly to the gmail users and then there is no need of changing any settings? Because we can't expect customers to have these settings done (configured to use php mail) by default.
