I have purchased Amelia and have been setting it up on my site.
Functionally it works perfectly, i can take bookings and payments and it links to our google account perfectly. However visually it looks ridiculous and I can't for the life of me figure out why! The attached shows the issue, essentially rather then being a neat compact little box as shown it spreads itself out to the extent that each aspect of Amelia is simply enormous!
I rally like the functionality of the system but as it stands it simply cannot be used on our website. I might be being daft but I cant see any options that allow me to change this, other than altering the colours used. Are you able to help? Im adding this to my side using the shortcode [ameliabooking]
I can't change the colours for the site, it just pops up saying "changes weren't saved due to a server 500 error". I get this a lot but most options I can just click save over and over and eventually it works (which is no good if I have a client on the phone) but on the customisation page it never works. Good job the blue fits into my site.
Calendar doesn't always load, and if it does dates I click on aren't always selectable, its 50/50 whether a date clicked on works and goes on to shows available times.
Everything is enormous, like insanely HUGE! This is on mobile as well as desktop.
Thank you for your purchase, and sorry to hear you're having visual issues.
The issues you're facing are due to the fact that the plugins folder on your website doesn't have enough permissions. When you activate Amelia, it creates the CSS folder, and generates the needed CSS. Since your ../wp-content/plugins/ folder doesn't have enough permissions, Amelia can't do that, and that's why you see it like this.
If you're running on a Linux server, please modify the following code so it matches your "plugins" folder location:
sudo chmod -R 777 /var/www/html/WEBSITEsFOLDER/
That's the code you should run to allow needed permissions on your website. Then, restart apache, and deactivate/activate Amelia again.
If you don't know how to do that, please reach out to your hosting provider
I thought this had worked but its still happening.
I spoke to my host, they told me to just use the file manger to change the permissions of any folder I wanted so I did that. I wasn't sure if I did it right but deactivated the Amelia Plugin, went into the file manager and I changed the permissions for the WP_content/plugins folder and within that the Amelia folder to 777 (see screenshots) and then reactivated the amelia plugin.
Would you be able to provide me the credentials for your website and cPanel, so I can take a look?
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

Hi again Robin.
Thanks for the credentials.
The issue with the deformed view of the booking form seems to have been resolved with the permissions you added:
I'll get back to you on the other ticket, regarding the missing services in back-end.
