Hello I've recently purchased WPDataTables , unfortunately the plugin zip file did not load up via my WordPress Plugins page. I checked my cPanel PHP settings and I changed them as follows: I increased: max_execution_time from 30 seconds to 200 seconds; upload_max_filesize from 8M to 64M; post_max_size from 8M to 64M. I am running PHP version 7.4; My WordPress version is 5.4.2; my host is NetRegistry.

Trying to upload the zip file, via plugins page, did not work. The error message said that the file was too large and a few other statements I didn't understand.  I increased the PHP settings as mentioned above via the cPanel. But again it did not work. I then uploaded the unzipped folder, via FileZilla, to my website plugins folder on the remote server, but unfortunately that didn't work either.

I've attached an image of my cPanel page with the increased sizes. I've also uploaded an image of the error message that is thrown up when I try to upload the zip file via the WordPress plugins page.

    Hello Diane

Thank you for your purchase, and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Please provide me:

    • A temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens
    • FTP access credentials, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.

You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Aleksandar,

Thank you for your quick response. Unfortunately, I don't give out the WP-admin login, nor the FTP access credentials to someone I don't know. Apologies!  So it looks like I won't be able to use your WPDataTables plugin.  Your plugin looks very impressive, however I was going to use it for a Plant Index of 3500 items with five or six columns, hyperlinks, and a search box.  It took me ages to decided to pay for a year's  subscription, because I knew I was being extravagant as my website is a hobby website providing information to the community about Early Australian Colonial History.

I think I'll just need to request a refund from you, because the plugin is very large, it didn't load up simply, and the expense was probably too extravagant for my needs anyway.  It looks like you've created a really good plugin but because loading it up via the normal avenues won't work, and I have to give you access to my website, I'll have to give up the idea of using WPDataTables.

It is with regret I will have to ask for a refund, unless there is something within my cPanel settings (image attached to my earlier contact message) which I can change myself.

I was fascinated by your plugin, and I was intrigued to see how it worked, but I guess I won't get to use it.

    Best wishes

    Sorry to hear that, Diane

I never saw that error during the installation of wpDataTables. Usually, the error with the file size is "The link you have followed has expired", and that is solved exactly like you did it - by increasing the upload size in php.ini file. I cannot debug the issue without access to the actual error, so I don't know which steps need to be taken to resolve it.

I explored stack overflow, and these threads may help:

Please check those, and see if it helps in any way.

If you do decide to submit a refund request after that, please log into http://store.tms-plugins.com/ with the credentials you received in your e-mail when you purchased the plugin, then navigate to Purchases/wpDataTables, and if you're still within 15 days from purchase you will see the "Request Refund" button.
