Bank transfer option or changing "on site" text

    Hi!

I wondered if there are plans to add a Bank transfer option (here in Europe is very common to use this, because you have no third party commissions this way and bank transfers within Europe are free of charge). So it would be great.

I know there is an option to connect with Woocommerce, but that would add an extra layer of settings and complexity that I think is too much only for this.

In the meantime, I would like to know if I can change the "On site" option text to say "Bank transfer". And later send the payment details to the person. I will have to do it manually for now, of course.

Also, for things like this, it would be great to have some way to send different emails based on some things, like payment method, service, and so on.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Taisa-Raquel

    Hello Taisa-Raquel,

There isn't an option for a Bank transfer payment method in Amelia, and we don't have it in our plan at the moment, unfortunately. I will add it as a feature request to our list and you can check out here if there is such request and vote for it.

As for changing the 'On site'  string, you can change strings in the plugin by using the translation method, but in your case you would change strings in the same language, you wouldn't translate them to another one.

Strings can be changed using POEDIT or Loco Translate for example. If you want to use POEDIT then this is the instruction:

    1. Download Amelia from TMS Store

    2. Unzip the downloaded file.

    3. Download and install POEDIT

    4. Open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/en_US/wpamelia-en_US.po.

    5. Change the strings you want.

    6. Save the translation.

    7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/en_US/ folder and copy these two files - wpamelia-en_US.po and wpamelia-en_US.mo back to your website to the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/en_US/.

Please note that this change will be deleted when you update Amelia, so you would need to apply this chaneg after each update of the plugin.

Hi! I finally had some time to change the translation so it says bank transfer instead of On-Site payment.
I only wanted to say, that I tried adding the edited files to wp-content/languages/plugins and it worked. This way it won't be changed when an update comes. I know I will have to edit it later manually if some strings are added, but that text wouldn't change. :)

    Best regards,

    Taisa-Raquel

    Hi Taisa-Raquel,

Glad to see you managed to change the string that you wanted, thank you for letting us know. Actually, all files are overridden when you update Amelia, so the translation folder/files at location

    /wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/

are overridden as well in the update, so you will need to apply the change after each update of Amelia.

But I didn't use that location, I used wp-content/languages/plugins. It's not the same, and it is not overwriten on updates.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Taisa-Raquel, I thought I saw you are referring to the locations folder in Amelia. Thank you sharing this!
