We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Currently when people click the back button in browser it goes back to a previous page, and not to a previous Amelia screen. This drives our clients crazy. How can we make the back button click go back to the previous amelia screen?
If there is no setting for this then it's appalling. Please create a setting for this for us. And for the meanwhile give us the javascript code that would let us achieve this.
By the way, we really like Amelia :)
Hello Biiird Studio
Thank you for your purchase, and for your suggestion. I will forward it to our development team for review.
In the mean-time, you can add this custom script that will stop users from navigating away from the page:

Thank you for passing the info to the dev team.
Also thank you for the script, but there is a strange behavior, when you click the back button the page is scrolling up and down instead of going to the previous amelia screen.
Please update it so it is working.
I think the best solution would be to add #anchor tags to the url on category buttons and on service button. That would make it work properly without any javascript. When a user clicks a link with an anchor, it can change the hash without navigating away from the page.
Hi again Biiird Studio
That will be forwarded to our development team, thanks.
Unfortunately, this custom script was shared with us by one of our customers, and it worked great for them. It may require some modification, but that is custom work, and is not included in the provided support for the plugin.
You can also check a few other solutions in the mean-time on this link.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Actually, you can add this (much simpler script), and it should work:
This actually returns a warning like this:
But you can take a look at this link, there are some comments that mention how you can change the text in that warning.

Thanks, that is okay for a short period of time, hope that they quickly add #hash modification to create browser history, and the back button will just move to the previous amelia screens, otherwise it's unusable for us :(
Hello again Biiird Studio
Your suggestion has been forwarded to our development team.
Hopefully, they'll see it as an improvement that should be included sooner rather than later.

Hi, has this bug been fixed in the 2.9 version?
It is not listed in the changelog... https://wpamelia.com/changelog/
Hello again Biiird Studio
That's not a bug actually. That's how the plugin works at the moment. Like I said a few times already - your suggestion has been forwarded to our development team.
We don't develop new features of the plugin based on one customer's request, unfortunately. We receive a lot of suggestions like this, and they are stored in our "ideas" list. More times some idea receives a vote from a customer, more likely it will be developed sooner. Since you're the only one asking for this to be implemented (at the moment), it is not high up that list, so I can't say when it will be added.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
