We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
Is the following correct?
1) with the Master Detail addon, you can have master WPDataTable and then use/setup a Detail "only" view of the same table.
-- you can not edit this "detail view"?
2) How does #1 above differ from the standard functionality of WP Data Tables if you do NOT have the Master Detail Addon?
-- it appears the Addon does not provide any extra functionality... Except only to display the details on it own page, if you want to.
3) When you add a detail page (create template page), those only appear to work with Gutenberg pages? (not working with oxygenbuilder.com)
-- it is nice you have freedom of the layout, but REALLY need to be able to edit those fields. That is a standard part of Master Detail :(
Overall, it seems the only added functionality of the Master Detail Addon is to add your own template page to display your own details (but can't do anything else except for display/re-arrange the fields).
Do I have this wrong?
Hello Larry
1. Yes, Master-Detail can display data only of a single table, and it can't be edited.
2. If you have a table with 50 columns, it wouldn't be very user-friendly to display the whole table like that. So, you can hide 40 columns, and have them be displayed in the popup modal, or on a page. Similar to what we've shown in our documentation.
3. You should be able to use any builder. You simply need to copy the placeholders. It can be a blank page even.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
