We're having a bit of difficulty with some customers getting confused by the "bringing anyone with you" option as bringing their child to children's lessons (i.e. accidentally booking for 2 when they really mean for 1 person).
Is there a way to rename this field?
I'm happy to implement some custom HTML/CSS if it would work.
You can change strings in the plugin by using the translation method, but in your case you would change strings in the same language, you wouldn't translate them to another one.
Strings can be changed using POEDIT or Loco Translate for example. If you want to use POEDIT then this is the instruction:
4. Open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/en_US/wpamelia-en_US.po.
5. Change the strings you want.
6. Save the translation.
7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/en_US/ folder and copy these two files - wpamelia-en_US.po and wpamelia-en_US.mo back to your website to the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/en_US/.
Please note that you would need to apply this change after each update of Amelia.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
I've managed to follow all the steps no problem - I edit the 3 references to "Bringing anyone with you?" with the translation output to "Register Another Student". I then save and copy the updated translation files to the Amelia en_US language folder in Wordpress. It's definitely the en_US po/mo files and our Wordpress is set to English - United States.
It just doesn't seem to be resulting in any visible changes anywhere.
I've attached a couple screenshots - just in case I'm missing something obvious.
Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.
You are welcome.
If you open the po file in a text editor and see the translated string you added, could you please deactivate and activate Amelia back on and delete cache?
Just confirming - I see the translated strings in the downloaded po file.
Before I deactivate Amelia and delete cache, can I confirm it won't affect our existing bookings? (we have a few hundred, so definitely don't want them to lose their appointments or be bombarded with notification emails).

Thanks Marija,
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be updated.

Let me know if this helped!
Hi Marija,
No problems at all.
Just confirming - I see the translated strings in the downloaded po file.

Hello Max,
You won't loose any data in Amelia if you deactivate and activate Amelia back on on the Plugins page and delete cache.
