I am setting up a site for people to book swimming tours, I want them to be able to book the tour on the site and pay for it, but I can't work out if it should be an event or a service.
When they come to book I want them to fill in their name, email, phone and also if they need goggles, fins (what size) and if they want to hire a wetsuit as an extra for a charge and what size. They also need to be able to book for more than 1 person at a time.
I am also having trouble choosing the time for the sessions when setting it up as an event, I want the tour to be 9.30-11.30, but can only seem to choose and even number like 8 or 10 as the start time.
This is making me think that actually setting it up as a service may be better, but then I need to have up to 8 people book for the same time slot.
Please let me know how I can do this with the Amelia plugin and how would be the best way to do this.
You can add extras to services (goggles, fins, wetsuit, and so on), but they would need to define the size in Custom fields. I mean - you should add a custom field where they would tell you what size they wear.
For time slots, you should shorten the default time slot step in Amelia's General settings, and enable "Use service duration for booking a time slot". The service needs to have Max capacity set to 8, and to allow people to book until they reach the max capacity, you need to configure the Appointment Settings like this:
Thank you I have done that., set up services, but I want the events to be set up so that they can only book from appointment times that I set. I run tours that only go at certain times of day. How do I do this? At the moment the time slots appearing are 9-1 and 1-5 but I have changed the working times and it hasn't made a difference - how do I do this?
Also I have set 4 questions to ask people when booking and yet only 2 are showing up - why is this?
Each employee has his own working hours, which you can configure, so if you want the tour to be available from 9:30 - 11:30, your employee should be working only during those times.
As for the questions, I assume you're referring to the custom fields? If that's true, please note that each custom field has a drop-down menu where you can choose on which service it will appear, so please check that.
If you're still having issues with this, please explain to me what your desired setup is (who works from when until when, on which service, which custom fields should appear on front-end, etc), and please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site, so I can help you set it up.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

5. Sure, you can do that with POEDIT or Loco Translate easily. I suggest installing Loco Translate, since it's within WordPress and it has a simple UI.

If you're using English, you should edit English translation, and simply add a translation when you find the instance of "Appointment".
