I want to create a table that shows sensitive information from a mysql database using the wordpress user as placeholder to do the query. That way it would only show invoices from the current logged in user.
My question is, can the user use the browser developers tools to modify the placeholder and see information from other users? If not, could you explian? (I'm a developer so I might understand)

Yes you can use it like you need. Placeholders are variables that are replaced in back-end and users can not do it anything on front to change it or to see data from other users. So placeholders are replaces before execution of query so on front and it will be render data based on that query.
Also, you can try our sandbox site: Front-end & Back-end - you can find a fully functional version there to try out all plugin premium features.
