We did a first batch of appointments on Saturday and I have some follow up questions:
1. If I set the system to make the appointments pending instead of approved, will it still show the appointment as available? We have a high volume of appointment requests coming in at the same time and I would like for them to be pending instead of approved so I can manually check them out and then approve them; but I need to make sure they don't show as available as pending and risk double booking.
2. Is there any way built into the system to limit so only one user (per email address) can make an appointment during a week?
3. Can I see what the screenshots look like if someone is able to cancel their own appointments?
1. You can change the behavior in Amelia settings/Appointments. You should enable the first slider, and disable the bottom one, and the time slot will remain open. When people book, you will choose who will be approved, and who'll be rejected. 2. Unfortunately, no. 3. Not sure what you mean? Could you explain in a bit more detail?
On #1 I want the reverse behavior. I want it so the appointment goes in as pending but also so that nobody else can book it while it’s pending. Where are the sliders I need to activate to make that happen? You say I need to activate both.
If you want only one customer to be able to book the appointment you need to set the service capacity to 1, and enable only the bottom slider, like this:
Then, regardless of the appointment status (Pending or approved), no one else will be able to book that time slot.

Hey Astrid
Thanks for opening up a ticket.

Okay on #2
i found the documentation I need on 3 I believe.
Hi again Astrid
