Tried to update the plugin through WP directly with the zip file but it says
* The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.
This is what happened to me initially when I first purchased so I used my FTP and loaded the plugin directly into the correct directory.
Just wanted to know how do I avoid overwriting all my settings if I transfer in the same way? I'm not a developer so have no idea - thank you in advance!

Hello Alanna
Please check out the attached article.
Are You Getting “The link you followed has expired” Error in WordPress?
There are a few things you can do to bypass this issue in the future. I suppose you simply need to increase the upload_max_filesize
