I had earlier installed Amelia in my wordpress LMS theme based website and this has been shifted between hosting servers a couple of times owing to speed issues etc. The email issue I have been facing also is not going away. I'm looking at two options: 1. To uninstall ameila and reinstall amelia on my existing website (can you help me understand if this will make me loose all my amelia settings and customers etc? 2. The create a new simple website and migrate my present ameila and all its data (settings, customers etc) to the new website. Shall greatly appreciate a helpful response. Thank you.
1. I don't believe this will help you out with the issue, but you can try of course. If you're installing Amelia on the same website, you can deactivate and delete it, and when you install a fresh version, you will not lose any data.
If you are moving from one website to another, we can suggest using the Duplicator plugin. We use it and it's working fine, because it will transfer all the files and also the tables to database.
Issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
1. Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings, and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
2. Your website has PHP version less than 7
3. The credentials are not correct
4. There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're not able to resolve the issue, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here because this ticket is private and nobody can see it except us.
2. This was answered under 1, with the Duplicator plugin note.
You guys are too good! If there was someway for realtime support that would be super too.
p.s Aleksandar it has only been a couple of months since I started using the plugin, was wondering if I can go for an upgarde to a lifetime plan. Can you advise how I can go about this. Thank you
