My email notifications are working fine, but the received emails are all double-spaced. They look fine in the Amelia browser when developing them, but are double-spaced in Outlook2016, Google Mail and Yahoo Mail browsers. I have attached images of the Amelia browser and the Outlook2016 browser. The website Admin email account seems to work correctly with other emails. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
We're having some issues with the notification editor, and this will be fixed in the future.
Until then, please go to your database, and in table "wp_options", under "option_name" column search for the term "amelia_settings". That will return only one row, so you need to edit it, and in the "option_value" column search for "notifications". Change it to look like this:
Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn’t quite work the way I had hoped. I have attached another screenshot of the email with the change to the database that shows every line is now double-spaced. No big deal, this isn’t a critical issue. I’m hoping now that you are aware of the situation, a future update will resolve it.
Yeah, our developers are aware of this, but I can't say that it will be fixed with the next update.
Another thing, which I know surely works, is to go in wp_amelia_notifications table, and there remove <br> where you find it. You'll need to do this for all notifications, but after you save it it will remove the additional breaks. Again - you shouldn't modify the notifications from the plugin's UI after that.
Sadly I can't find the "amelia_settings" in "wp_options", under "option_name". Does not exist. :/
btw. this issue exists for several months already. Is there an ETA for the fix? Emails to me are very important and my clients already are a bit confused when receiving mail with so much spacing.
Do you have enough permissions to edit the database? These things should not happen, as you're simply modifying a database table.
There's another way you can reduce spacing in the notifications, though - you can go to wp_amelia_notifications, and manually remove <br> from each notification, but if you do this you shouldn't modify them through the plugin again, since the changes will revert.
The issue here is, that the database edit works, but when logging into the WP back end and trying to send a test mail under notifications, I'll get the warning as shown in the screenshot.
At the moment I adjust that the database gets back to default.
We cannot help you with this on someone else's ticket. You need to open a new private ticket, where you can provide us the log-in credentials for your website, so we can see what's going on.
I just tested the Lite version, and it's working normally.
Just to follow up on your response where you mentioned the wp_amelia_notifications table, I was able to successfully make the HTML modifications to the email. However, it involved a bit more than removing the <br> tags.
My procedure was to log into the database through phpMyAdmin, click on the database to bring up the tables, then click on the wp_amelia_notifications table.
For the rows to modify, click “Edit” and the original HTML will be in the “content” box. I copied and pasted this original HTML into an HTML editor (Notepad++ in my case) and made the necessary HTML changes. Once the HTML looks good in a web browser, copy and paste the updated HTML back into the database “content” box and click the “Go” button to save.
I had not seen the wp_amelia_notifications table referenced before, but knowing that the Notifications HTML resides there allows us to use custom HTML in our email and SMS designs as a temporary fix. I did not need to make any changes in wp_options.

Hello Bogdan,
at the moment I'm using the lite version.
To open a new ticket I'll need a purchase code?
Regards
Hello Nikolaj
You don't need the purchase code if you open a ticket in the Pre-Purchase section. Can you check your database again, though?
When you access your database via PHPMyAdmin (or some other tool), access wp_options table:
It is possible that your prefix is not "wp_", but something else, so if that is the case, please look for "your_prefix_options" table.
When you access it, you can search through the column "option_name". Search for the term "amelia_settings":
The search will return only one row, and you need to edit it:
If that doesn't help, please do open a new private ticket, and we'll gladly help.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

I'm getting an error, if I paste the code snippet into the database.
The error happens in the WP Amelia back end and then the database resets that "amelia_settings" automatically to default in order to work again.
See screenshot.

Hi again Nikolaj
Well, did you enter the sender email in Notification Settings, like that warning message says?

Yes, but the issue is still there because the database entry just resets and I lose all the settings that have been made before.
