Unfortunately, there isn't such setting in Amelia with its current built-in features.There isn't a possibility to limit the number of appointments one customer can have.

Is this something you are considering adding? For example, I offer a free consultation which I would like to limit to 1 per customer. It would be great to have this option to only allow 1 per email address.
Unfortunately, it isn't possible to limit the number of appointments one customer books in Amelia. The appointments depend on the minimum/maximum capacity and work hours of the employees and there are not other limits for the appointments created in Amelia.

You can set the available period for booking in advance for services in Amelia , in Amelia -> Settings -> General for all services, and per service, when you open/edit the service under the Settings tab. It is the option Period available for booking in advance:
- only once per day per user
There isn't a possibility to limit the number of bookings a customer can make for some period of time with Amelia's current features, unfortunately. You can suggest it as a feature request here or vote for it if there is such request in the list.
- only for one hour
Appointment duration is service duration, so if you set the service duration to be 1 hour that will be the appointment duration as well.

I need this for single day so that the same user don't book all the available time slots
