How can I add a 'Functions' column similar to what's displayed on WDDataTables (see attached)? I would like to include "Delete' and 'Edit' inline icons versus the user having to click on a record, then navigating to the toolbar to perform these functions. I've tried inline editing but this would not be good UX for my users.
Have you tried Pop-over editing? This displays a pop-up when someone clicks on a row, so "Edit", "New Entry" and "Delete" buttons are shown in it, instead of above the table.
Yes, I've tried that but that's not a good UX for the user because when they first sign up for the app, there will be no rows in the table. They would have to click on an empty table to see the pop--up. My users will be older users in which this behavior is not intuitive to them.

Hello again Perla
Again, this would have to be custom developed.

I see, Perla
Unfortunately, there's no other workaround for this.
