I'm just starting to use this plugin, trying to filter entries by a date range in a specific date field of my data source. Can you point me to some documentation around how to do that? It seems pretty basic. Thanks!
There's not much documentation about this, since like you said - it's pretty basic. You can take a look at this page, but I don't believe there's anything there that can help you out.
The date range filter can only work on "date" type columns, so if you have a column of any other type, you need to change it to "date", and it should work as expected.
Hi Aleksander, I do want to filter a date-type column, so I would perform the filter in wpdatatables, then generate the report in report builder with the filter applied to the table and report builder would recognize the filtered table as the table source? Then I could remove the filter after that to view all the table data again? I want to generate reports displaying only certain fields for certain dates. (now - 3 months) or something like that.
Sure, when you're creating the report, you can enable "Follow table filtering", and when you apply a filter, and download a report - the downloaded report will consist only of the filtered data.
