We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Dears. For our marketplace, we have set "reminder sms" to be sent. Amelia's pricing grid for France-France sms indicates that sms should be charged $0,114, regardless of the mobile operator. However the first 2 sms sent have been charged $0,57 and $0,456 to us, so 4 to 5 times more !!
How come? Why 2 different prices? And how to fix that ?
Thanks for your clarifications. Regards
Hello Marina Rossi,
This means that the SMS notification took more actual SMS messages to be sent. The Segments column in Amelia -> SMS Notifications, that you will find on your screenshot as well (named Sections) shows the number of actual SMS messages these notifications took. So, as I can see from your screenshot, one of them took 4 and the other one 5 SMSs and this is why the price was higher.
This is set by the SMS service providers, not Amelia, and 1 SMS message can take up to 160 characters, so in order to have 1 segment/SMS you need to shorten your Message in SMS notifications. Please note that special characters can take some extra space. If you want, you can calculate the number of characters one Message takes using some online tool like for example this one: https://www.textmagic.com/free-tools/sms-length-calculator
If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
