I have a column that contains alphanumeric values.
I need to be able to sort by these in a way that doesn't seem to follow alphabetical or numeric rules. The link is to a screen shot of what I am talking about.
As a workaround, I have seperated the letters that follow the numbers into a seperate column. The initial column now sorts correctly, however the letters aren't in alphabetical order. It is further complicted by the fact that I need the table to ALSO sort by a 3rd column (Country).
If I can solve the alphanumeric sorting issue it leaves me with only 2 columns to sort and based on another users solutions, my problem goes away.
Thanks in advance!
Heather
I think I have solved the problem. I wrote an SQL query to sort by the 3 tables on load and used that as my SQL query to build the table off of.
Hi Heather
That's a great workaround. It's custom, though, but a great workaround.
Thanks for letting me know!
Kind Regards,
