We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
All of the Zoom sessions I'm creating within Amelia need to have a password, how do I get this to work? Zoom has essentially said that all events should have a password unless you want random people to drop into your event (not good!).
Even if I turn on password on the Zoom side, will it update the Amelia event link for the zoom?
Hello David Kutcher,
Thank you for your purchase.
There isn't a possibility for passwords in Amelia for Zoom integration at the moment, unfortunately. Zoom have added the passwords option recently, after we released the Zoom integration in Amelia. These changes are forwarded to the development team, so they can check them out and consider for the integration.
Until Amelia has an update on this I am using a simple workaround.
1. I am giving all the meetings which have been created from Amelia the same password in my Zoom app.
2. I put this password in all the automated confirmation emails directly under the Zoom join link
So the customers get the short link with only meeting ID and have the password in the text.
Hello Heinz,
Thank you for sharing your work-around
@Heinz that's my workaround as well, but far from ideal!
@marija that's not entirely correct, Zoom has almost always had passwords, but their need is much greater with the new pastime of zoom-bombing.
Hello David,
I know that they made some changes regarding the links and passwords recently. Unfortunately, at the moment, like I said, we don't have passwords for Zoom meetings in Amelia, only the links for Zoom meetings can be sent to the customers in the email notifications from Amelia.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
