We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
It would be great to have the possibility to have custom emails approving appointments according to the selected service (rather than the standard one-size-fits-all). I would like to give context information about Zoom meetings when a virtual meeting has been scheduled, which is otherwise irrelevant for a face to face meeting. Another use case is preparation details for a particular face to face meeting for a given service. Hope that all makes sense.
Am I missing anything in the current settings that allows this?
Hello Mark,
Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.
Yes, we assume that would be useful to our users, and we have that as a feature in our to-do list but we can't say when it will be implemented and released. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to send separate notifications based on a service from Amelia with its current built-in features.
But for now, you can maybe use this work-around - in the Service description add the different context information based on if that service is a Zoom one or an offline one. And then in the email notifications add the placeholder for this field %service_description%, and in the emails customers will get these information based on the service they booked, so the description for Zoom service if they booked the Zoom service, the description of the face to face meeting if they booked that one.
Hope this helps!
If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
This for the record doesn't work - I just tried it. The %service_description% works great, but you can't put the %zoom_join_url% field in the service description text. If you try, and then use the %service_description% variable, it doesn't show the zoom url...only the pointer "%service_description%"
It would be great to be able to have different notifications per service. Or at least conditional logic in the notifications
Hello Ronnie,
You need to add the %zoom_join_url% placeholder directly to the notification, it can't work in the description field and then in the notification, so you would need to add the text only to the description field and the placeholder to the notiifcation itself (the Zoom link will be sent for services that have Zoom enabled only). Please suggest that as a feature request here, or vote for it if there is such request, so it can be considered for implementation in the future.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
