Would you please explain the concept of appointment, calendar, booking, and events? I am confused. I know Catalog and services. However, how can I create a yoga class? It seems like the only thing similar is "event". However, I think Amelia seems to be more like a booking system - initiate by demand from customers.
When I create a yoga class, all I have is a class type, for example, yin yoga. A schedule, for example, 9am Wednesday.
Can you give me a step by step instruction on how to create a yoga class?
Thank you.
Barry
Hello Barry,
Thank you for your purchase.
You can create the services that you give, like Yoga, as Services or Events in Amelia, depending on your needs. Like you saw on our demo site, it is created as a Service, and the availability for the service is set by setting up the employee's work hours to whom this service is assigned. So, whatever work hours you set for the employee those time slots will be available for booking on the front-end. So, if you have the service/yoga on each Wednesday at 9 you will create the work time period for the employee on Wednesday to be from 9 to 10 (depending on the length of the service) and assign that service to this work time period.
If you have some service that you provide once in a while and that has a duration longer than one day, and that you want to choose dates for it, then you can create it as an Event in Amelia.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
