Is there any way to sell memberships with the Amelia plugin? We purchased the plugin to administrate a dance studio but the best way for this is to bill the costumers monthly.
If this is not possible, is this a feature that you are working on integrating?
Unfortunately we don't have membership integrated into Amelia.
You can use Memberpress as membership plugin. Memberpress has an addon to link your membership levels to any WordPress user role. So you can link your levels to the Amelia Customer user role. So each time a member sign up, also assigns the member to Amelia Customer. During the first appointment, all fields are grayed out since Amelia recognizes them as existing customer!
We will look into adding Membership as a feature to our plugin, but I can't say when it will be implemented (not soon, that's sure).
Thanks for the reply. It would be a major dealbraker if Amelia booking was able to handle memberships. I am having a hard time finding a plugin that could handle such things and at the same time handle bookings of classes. Simular to gym memberships where members can book seats at a fitness / dance class. I will give memberspress a try and se if this brings us to our goal.
Hi Aleksandar. I have been researching this weekend how i can in a simple way reach the goal that i need with memberships without emptying my pockets entirely. So what i have figured out after doing some testing with The Events Calendar and Restricted Content Pro.
I create a membership in RCP and give it a level (lets say level 1) and make it recurring payment (monthly). This also creates a user role with same name. After i have done that I create a event in TEC and make the price 0. Beneath the general settings there is an additional menu from RCP that gives me the change to select a membership level to go along with the event ( Members of specific membership levels). Here i choose the same level as before. Now when a person books a slot at the course they are directed to where they can purchase the membership.
Now, i already purchased a pro version of Amelia and i really like to work with it, more then i like TEC. Is there some way that i can make a connection between RCP and Amelia so can make the same conditions as i described earlier?
I am not sure if you would be able to do something like this - I haven't tried it.
If you're able to link your membership levels to a role, like explained in my previous comment, then I suppose you would be able to make it work, but this is not something Amelia is working with natively.
This would fall under customization, and although it's a good idea for plugin development, at the moment it's only available as a workaround which wasn't tested, and we can't guarantee it will work.
The request has been forwarded to our development team to take into consideration for the future.
We work with Amelia Pro and have an online gym. Would it be possible to sell a monthly membership by now, with any of the in this thread mentioned options?
Membership, and subscription features are not included in Amelia yet. They are planned for the future, but we can't provide you with an ETA. Also, it's worth mentioning that these two features will most likely be included only in Developer license, or Pro and Developer - a decision hasn't been made, since these features aren't being developed yet.
WooCommerce is only used for payments in Amelia, so we cannot guarantee that WooCommerce subscription will work with Amelia.
No, unfortunately, it is not and we can not say when this will be added to be honest. It turns out that this will require changing a great deal of logic that Amelia uses and until we find a way that does not require so much change that it would be like building a completely new plugin from scratch this won't be implemented. We have that in plan but whether this will be in one year or 5 years at this time we simply can not say.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
No there is no solution for this as far as we know and this won't be implemented in Amelia in the near future.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open your own separate tickets to not disurb other users because they will receive mail for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Couldn't implement subscription option yet? Keep talking about difficulty for last the 4 years. You guys need to re-think your structure for the software. No custom development allowed... so we cant do anything but wait around. We just get "Unfortunately, in the future perhaps" for the last 4 years. This is ridicules.
We understand your concerns and appreciate your patience. We have implemented a significant number of new features in Amelia and are currently finalizing a complete redesign of the front end. Additionally, we are planning a redesign of the backend, along with highly requested features like the waiting list, which is nearing completion.
Regarding the implementation of a subscription option, we are unable to provide a specific timeline at this moment. This feature is quite substantial, akin to creating a new membership plugin, and would require extensive changes to the way Amelia operates. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Hi Aleksandar
unfortunately this doesn't work. Need a function that actually adds the newly created memberpress user to the amelia customer table in the dB.
Definitely a feature i want to
cheers
Andrew
I understand, Andrew
I hope our developers will be able to add it to the plugin in the future.

Hello Moritz
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately the Membership feature is not yet possible.
The only thing that is vaguely similar is the Package option, but I don't believe it will suit your needs.

We are not at the end of 2022; so let me renew the question whether a membership feature for Amelia is coming out soon, or not ?
