Hi,
I was wondering how timezones work with WPAmelia? I'm currently having students schedule times w/instructors for training.
However, I'm hearing some students setting the appointment in their timezone and the instructors time zone being incorrect.
Can you give me more insight to that please?
Hello 430designs
Thank you for your purchase.
Amelia doesn't have any time zone settings, and it picks up whatever is being set in WordPress general settings.
Times in back-end will always show what WordPress has been set up for, but you can enable "Show booking slots in client time zone" which uses user's IP address to determine what time zone they're in.
My advice would be to configure back-end's time zone so a city near you is selected, instead of UTC+/- format. Practice tells me to avoid that format.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Ok, but I found a timezone setting. I've had it checked, but I now need to know if it's working.
Hello 430designs
That's not time zone settings. That's just an option to show bookings in the time zone of your clients.
For example, if you're located in UTC+0, and you have an appointment scheduled for 12:00, your customer, who is in UTC+2 would see the appointment starting at 14:00.
To see if it works or not, you should change the time zone in WordPress' general settings. Then you would still see the regular times on back-end, but when you see the form from front-end (preferably from incognito mode), you'll see different times.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
