Hi, I am trying to set up a test site for a tree business to see if Amelia will work out.

Currently stuck on the SMTP email set up. The test emails are failing to go out. I am hosted by GoDaddy. Could you please help with the settings and any other details? I must not have the correct info. Thank you very much.

    Hello Susan Connell,

Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.

Could you please tell me, if you are using Gmail, have you tried both combinations for SMTP Port / Secure – 465 with SSL or 587 with TLS? If you use some other mail service provider, it can have some other configuration for setting up SMTP so you can ask them what setup is needed. Also, some hosting providers don't allow SMTP communication through their servers for some email providers like Gmail or similar, they have their own mail service or some configuration that needs to be set up for this purpose. So, please contact your hosting provider and ask them about this.

Please note if you use some other plugin for sending emails/SMTP on your website, please choose WP Mail as a Mail service in Amelia and it will use that other plugin's configuration for sending emails.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask.
