Hey there, Awesome Customers!
Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.
We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Catch you on the flip side!
Warm regards,
TMS
Is it possible to add an HTML Phone Number Call Link inside of a table? I added
"<a href="tel:123-456-7890">123-456-7890</a>" to a field and it partly rendered but had an extra > and <.
The goal is to have the user click the phone number inside of the table and have it call.
Thanks!
I should note that I was entering the code in an editable notes field as a test. As soon as I added it with CONCAT in the database, it worked.
Hi Marc
I'm glad to hear you got it to work.
As for extra > and <, I believe this is caused by libxml.
You should find the libxml version in your php.info file.
If the version is less then 2.7.8
In file wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wdttools.php around line 927 find this code
and comment it so the code look like this
It should work now for your version of libxml.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Sorry to bump in.
If I do this (comment out)
Does it mean I can use any html in cells? Like embedding media etc?
Hello George
No, this fix is for outdated libxml versions, and doesn't provide more features to the plugin.
Embedding media (like a YouTube video for example) works fine, however. You just need to paste the correct code in the cell.

Hello Marc
Sorry to interfere.
Can you please share the MySQL query used for adding the CONCAT in your database.
With regards
Srinath
You bet. It's
CONCAT ('<a href="tel:', Phone, '">', Phone, '</a>') AS Phone
