Hi. It seems that prices that are set for events (sold through WooCommerce) are shown without VAT/taxes - i.e. VAT is added in the checkout, hence the price shown on the event are without taxes.

This must be a mistake as displayed prices in e-commerce in EU must be included VAT.

    Hello Finnur Thomsen,

    Thank you for your purchase.

There isn't a possibility to add taxes/VAT to the prices of services/events in Amelia. The only way to include them is if you use the WooCommerce integration, because there is an option to add taxes, like you mentioned. But, even though you use WooCommerce and add taxes there to Amelia Services/Events, that change still won't be seen in Amelia, in Amelia only the price set when creating the service/event will be present and seen. There isn't an option for invoices in Amelia, but only in WooCoommerce, so if you send invoices for the purchases, you can do that through WooCommerce and they will have taxes there as well.

Oh ... this is a critical flaw. This has to be fixed immediately. According to EU law, e-commerce selling to end customers in EU must state "the price of the goods or services - including any additional charges, such as taxes (...) ".

    Not doing so is illegal.

    Hello Finnur Thomsen,

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to add taxes to the prices in the plugin itself. We have this in our list of feature requests and I will add your vote for it, but for now, I can't say if and when it will be implemented and released.  As I previously said, this is possible using WooCommerce integration, the taxes are added to the price and in the invoice, but unfortunately, the price with the taxes can't be seen in Amelia. In Amelia the price will be seen as the price set when you create a service/event.

If you need taxes, when you use WooCommerce the price is calculated with the taxes, and as such presented to the customers - both in the checkout process and in the invoice that is sent.
