I just purchased your plugin and realized that I am on WordPress 5.4 and you do not currently support it. Tables appear to not function correctly and I assume it is due to the version.
I cannot downgrade and need to have your tables display correctly. When will you be releasing 5.4 version of your software?
wpDataTables has been tested, and is working normally with WordPress 5.4
Which version of the plugin do you have? If it's not v2.8.3, please update it. If it's the latest version, please explain in a bit more detail what issues you're having with the plugin.
wpDataTables is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) concept based plugin. This means that the table should look the same both in back-end and in front-end. If your front-end table looks and behaves differently than in back-end, this usually implies that there is another plugin (or the current theme) that's changing the behavior of our plugin.
Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for wpDataTables, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
Like I said - the plugin is tested, and is working normally with WordPress 5.4.
I deactivated all the plugins and still have a bug with your plugin. Attached you will see that the hidden column wdt_ID is showing up on the web site when it should be hidden.
I am familiar with WYSIWYG and have been in the industry for decades. So I am sure there is an issue with the plugin.
It seems to be working for the majority of our other users, so I cannot agree with you that the issue is with wpDataTables, sorry. I could be wrong, though, but I can't say without taking a look.
I would love to help you out with this.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I have been discussing this internally and would prefer a virtual meeting that we can monitor. Please advise to a time tomorrow and we will setup a meeting for you to have access.
I'm sorry to disappoint, but we do not provide live support (Skype, TeamViewer, Zoom, etc.). We also don't work on weekends, so I apologize for the late response.
Perhaps you could clone your website and send it to us?
If you would be able to do that, please download the Duplicator plugin and create a new project. It will generate a couple of files I'll need you to send me. Then we can create an exact copy of your website locally, and try to resolve the issue in that way.

Here are screen shots showing versions of plugin and WP. Also screen shots of table preview in plugin and what shows on page.
Obviously, the page is not the same.

Thanks Rick
Please go to wpDataTables settings, and enable "Include full bootstrap front-end" slider:
After that your front-end table will look like it does on back-end (see attachment).

Thanks. That solved it. It was disabled from the previous recommendations.
You're welcome Rick
Glad to hear that solved the issue.
