We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Hi,

I have created recurring events with amelia for one of my clients. So now I have tried to book it for all sessions in this upcoming week (starting April 6th)
But I only can book April 6th, the other dates are not bookable although I can select them in the list.

    Can you help?

    TIA and stay healthy!

    Max

    Hello Max,

    Thank you for your purchase.

Even though an event is a recurring one, customers can book only one event at a time. Unfortunately, there isn't a possibility to book multiple events at once in Amelia with its current built-in features.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask.

    Stay safe!

    Hi Marija,

thank you for your reply. Booking multiple events at once is not the issue. Let me rephrase my  problem:

    1. I have a recurring event taking place 3x per week . Iin this case Apr 6th 7th and  8th.
    2. The booking page is  https://www.personalyoga-groups.com/yin-yoga-kurse/
    3. The website shows all 3 dates for next week.
    4. But it does not matter which date I click all my bookings are made for the 6th of April.
    5. From past week I have the issue that once the 1 of 3 dates is over I can not book the other events.

Question: How can I solve this so clients can book all 3 events for one week. (separately of course)

    Best regards and stay healthy

    Max

    Hello Max,

    You are welcome.

When you create an event and choose dates like that for it (from the screenshot), it means that this is one event - these 3 days - 6th, 7th, and 8th. The recurrence is set later when you choose for it to recur weekly, monthly or yearly. These 3 days that you set as dates for this event counts as one event and this is why customers can't book one of these 3 days, and this is also why they can't book it when the event starts (after the 6th).

So, you need to create separate events for the 6th, 7th and 8th in order to have them bookable separately by customers. Unfortunately, there isn't a possibility in Amelia to create daily recurrence for an event, at the moment, but we have this option in plan for future releases.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask.

    Hi Marija,

thank you for your reply. So then my question is: What is the purpose of adding additional dates in a particular event?

And another question: Can I edit the shortcode that the number of upcoming events is limited to the next 3 weeks and then show the pagination?

    Thank you

    Max

    Hello Max,

    You are welcome.

The purpose of adding additional dates is the option to set the times when the event is on for each day separately, as it doesn't need to be that the event is each day at the same time.

There isn't an option to set a period of time for which events will be shown on the front-end but you can set the number of events that you want to be shown before pagination with the option Default items per page:that you can find in Amelia -> Settings -> General Settings.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help.

    Hi,

    thanks again for your reply.

The purpose of adding additional dates is the option to set the times when the event is on for each day separately, as it doesn't need to be that the event is each day at the same time.

So in conclusion: I can create an event taking place on multiple dates.  say  ie Saturday 8am to 3pm and Sunday 9am to 1pm and then have it taking place on 2 different weekends but for the whole event I can only make one booking and set 1 price for the whole event.

    TIA and stay healthy

    Hello Max,

    You are welcome.

Yes, that is correct, you can create one event with separate dates, if you need that, and it will be counted as one event - so one price and one booking.

    Stay safe!
