Hi, can Amelia be configured so customers can pay what they wish, instead of a set price for a service? My client is no longer charging for the service because of COVID-19. Do you have any solution for this? Thank you!!
The only way you can do something like this is if you remove the price from the Services, and set the default payment method to be "On Site". That way, they can pay what they wish.
Another way would be to transfer the amount they wish to pay directly to a specified account; but you would need to enter the info about that account in a custom field (Text Content). It wouldn't go through Stripe, WooCommerce or PayPal, Amelia has integration with, but the simple transfer of funds from one account to the other.
Thanks. Then for the second option, there's no payment gateway? What account does it have to be transferred into -- directly into a bank account, or can it be transferred into a paypal or venmo account?
PayPal, Stripe and WooCommerce need to have a specific price, and can't work without it.
If you need people to decide how much they are going to pay (if anything), you can add any of the account details. Those are simple accounts people can make deposits to. Without login/password; 2-step verification; etc - there really isn't much security issues here. For example, charity organizations have their bank accounts accessible on their websites for when people wish to make donations.

How secure is this option?
