Hi,
I wish to change the placeholder text of the search box....
The plugins search box is enabled and it has a predefined text ""Search table""
I want to change this to a customized text, but I don't know how.
I was told that I can go into the plugins files and change the text directly from there, but the problem is when the pulugin gets updated It will get lost.
Is there a way maybe via the custom css or js settings to change the placeholder text?
I appreciate your help.
:)
Hello untalbob
Yeah, you can translate the placeholder in this file: ..wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wpdatatable.php around line 3441.
Unfortunately, you will need to do it every time the plugin updates, or create your custom solution. I cannot help you with the custom solution, since that is not included in the provided support for the plugin.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
