Prior to the last update, I had a table which used server side processing because I want to update it in the front end. Now that is not working after the latest update. Help!

If you comment the "IF" statements on these lines, it would be a quick fix. Please note, though that it may not work for all cases. We're working on resolving the issue permanently, and a new update will be released soon.
Indeed, after the last update, malfunctions appeared. On my website, tables no longer appear that were created manually. It is moreover more possible to create new tables.
HI Aleksandar, i followed your advice and I commented all the lines of the file 'wdt_ajax_actions.php'. However, this did not allow me to resolve the malfunction. I saw the new update that you proposed (2.8.3). But for that it is necessary that I go in the parameters tab so that I insert the license code there. However, all tabs are inactive. When I click on the tabs, they do not open, in particular the one called 'activation'.
If you can't switch between tabs, you probably have a plugin that's causing a conflict (off the top of my head, it could be UsersWP).
Since this probably won't be resolved with this response, and we're conveying on Debra's ticket, I'll ask you to open a new private ticket where you can leave your log-in credentials, so I can remote in and help you out.
If I'm not mistaken, you have an Envato license, and your support period expired. If that's the case, just open a pre-purchase ticket, and I'll gladly help you out.
I am unable to log a new ticket, I missed the payment update emails for WPDataTables. Is there any chance you can resend to me so I can keep the same license key?
Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about this.
There were 4 attempts to charge your VISA card ending with 6717, but since they all failed, the license has been canceled. There's no way to keep the same purchase code, so you will need to purchase the plugin again.

Do you maybe have more than one table on the page? If that is true, there's a bug that got through in the latest update.
Please go to file ../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/controllers/wdt_ajax_actions.php and comment lines 11 - 13:
Our development team will fix the issue in the next couple of days and release an update with the fix.
