    Hi

    I have seen it is possible to connect an employee with a Wordpress user. This is a great feature as I am using Ultimate Members for managing our affiliated facilitators. All members are also WP users.

    Unfortunately I didn’t figure out how to add a user. It always says "No matching data" when I enter a name.

    How does that work?

    Hello Heinz, 

    Thank you for your purchase. 

    In order to connect Employees or Customers in Amelia to WordPress users, they need to have Amelia Employee or Amelia Customer role in your WP. 

    If you need your users to have other roles as well in WP, you can use one of the plugins for adding multiple roles to one user in WP, like for example User Role Editor. In any case, you shouldn't add more Amelia roles with this plugin to the same user.

    I thought about that and I installed this plugin and have given me and another user the Amelia roles and it is still not working.

    Hello Heinz, 

    This is because these user roles can't be mixed with the Administrator role, since the Admin role in WordPress already have all the permissions there, so there is no need to connect Amelia Employees to it. The connection with WP User in Amelia Employees section is created for employees who don't have access to WP at all, or users who are not admins, who don't have all of the permissions in WP, so they can gain permissions to access Amelia (and have access that you enable them to have in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings). 

    Users use those plugins, like User Role Editor, if for example, they have some other plugin which also have their own roles, so they can mix that user role with the one they have in Amelia.

    Ok, so I don’t need to link admins in the Employee profile.

    Can an employee if he has the last two options enabled also change the appointments and events from other?

    Hello Heinz, 

    That is correct. 

    No, they can't see other employees' appointments and events. They will be allowed to manage their own appointments and events. 

    You can create one dummy employee in Amelia and a WP user with Amelia Employee user role and connect them, if you want to check how the WP looks like when employee is logged in and what permissions they have.
