We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
Thanks for your help :)
I'm using your plugin. People are making bookings via my website. However, when I add appointments to my calendar manually e.g. going to the dentist, people are still able to book in consults with me over these times via your app.
Is there a way to stop this?
Because it sucks that I have to keep manually blocking out times...
Thank you :)
Hello Dainis
Are you adding those as busy events in Google Calendar?
Is your employee connected to that Google Calendar?
If so, have you enabled "Remove Google Calendar Busy slots" in Amelia Settings/Google Calendar Settings?
Also, please make sure to increase the amount of events returned. If you leave it at 50, it will return only 50 events from your calendar, so when the threshold is reached, it will simply stop removing the time slots from Amelia.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hey man you're a genius! I got it to work, here's how (for future people). And I have 1 question for you...
How I got it to work:
Are you adding those as busy events in Google Calendar? YES
Is your employee connected to that Google Calendar? YES, but I didn't have the next option checked
If so, have you enabled "Remove Google Calendar Busy slots" in Amelia Settings/Google Calendar Settings? I checked this box & then things started working the way I wanted
Other Questions:
1. If not 50 events, what number do you recommend?
Other Tips
--> I changed the Calendar the employee connected to, to my "default" calendar within the Google Calendar. It's made things way easier.
Thanks so much - I'm so happy we've resolved this.
You're welcome Dainis
Glad I could help.
1. If not 50 events, what number do you recommend?
That depends on the usage of the calendar.
For example, if you have 5 recurring busy events that are created in Google Calendar every day, that means that the threshold of 50 events returned from Google Calendar will be reached in 10 days. So, if you're allowing your customers to book for more than 10 days ahead, the time slots that are reserved in Google 10 days from now will appear as available in Amelia, and your customers will be able to book them. However, when that day comes, you'll see there's an appointment that shouldn't be there.
If you're not adding much events in Google, it can stay at 50, but I'd increase it to 2.500 just in case
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
