I am evaluating Amelia for our Dev-Production cycles for our Design company. This is the problem I am having, which greatly influences my confidence in the claims of Amelia and its plugins, such as Multisite.

I have this problem with Amelia when I synchronize a site from dev to production. Amelia does not load on the front end, though the plugin is installed and activated. When completely delete the plugin and then reinstall it again it functions with no further intervention. So it is a workaround, BUT now that same problem is happening in a mulisite installation and the workaround is impossible.

Dev site (single installation) is synchronized with a Subsite for production in a multisite installation. Front end problem occurs. I remove Amelia at Network level, since Subsites cannot remove plugins. I reinstall and nothing changes this time. :-(

HELP!!! It is driving me crazy.

Problem solved. I changed the plugin to Network Deactivated and set Enable administration menus in Setting for Network. Then I went into the Dashboard of the Subsite. I Deactivated Amelia and Activated it again and it worked.

NEW Problem with Multisite though. There is nowhere to control the settings for Amelia. I have searched in Network Admin under all menus, the main site's admin under all menus, and the subsite's admin under all menus. I have tried activated and deactived on network for the plugin Amelia and no menu shows up anywhere. So, how am I supposed to trust your Multisite plugin if there is no menu created anywhere to control Amelia?

I mean for us it should not be a problem, since our dev sites are individual installs and we are pushing these to the prod sites. But I would still like to know that you guys have your stuff together enough not to miss one of the most important things in Multisite support, which is to provide a menu for settings in your plugin. :-o I am in shock!

    Hi Ron,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I am not sure that I understand you right since you opened a ticket that was supposed to go to our Amelia section and our premium support managers but I will give mu best to help.

Each sub-site needs to have separate settings, we had an issue with super admin user role where this user role had troubles with seeing the settings. If that is the case that issue is resolved in our new 2.5 version that we released yesterday. So please update the plugin and see if everything is ok.

    Best regards.

Thank you. Yes, that works now in Multi-site. Thank you for this very timely reply and solution. I am actually impressed, even if some of it happens to have been coincidence. :-)
