    Dear Amelia,

I have a question. For our website Services, language in Spanish is working very well. However, for Events certain items are showing in English.

Is it possible to integrate Spanish for Events? I will be happy to help providing translations.

    Thank you!

    Hello Jose Jarque,

Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.

This is probably because the strings for Events are added after the translation is done, (the strings added in updates are only available in English if a translation is already made) or the user that translated it is not using Events at all so they don't need these stringssmile.png

We don't translate the plugin, the translations are done by our users, and they send us their translations so they can have them after each update and for other users to use them as well.

The plugin / strings can be translated using POEDIT or Loco Translate for example easily. If you want to use POEDIT then this is an instruction:

    1. Download Amelia from our TMS Store

    2. Unzip the downloaded file.

    3. Download and install POEDIT

    4. Open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/wpamelia-fr_FR.po.

    5. Translate all the strings that are not translated

    6. Save the translation.

    7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/ folder and copy these two files called wpamelia-fr_FR.po and wpamelia-fr_FR.mo back to your website to the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/.

This is an example for French language, but you will choose Spanish.

    Hope this helps!

If you translate this you can send us the files with added translated strings so we can include it in our next update, so you will have them after you update Amelia.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

    Hello Jose Jarque,

Apologies for replying a bit later, we are not working on weekends.

Thank you! I hope you are well too! Stay safe!

You are welcome. Could you please tell me are you talking about the Amelia folder on your WordPress (to add the translated files)? If yes, you need to do this through your FTP or cPanel.

    Dear Marija,

Thank you for your support and for keeping this ticket open. I have two help request for you. One is a carry over from this same ticket. The other is a new one.

    1. I tried what you explained at cPanel and was able to edit the (english to spanish) file and saved it back to ameliabooking/languages/es_ES/wpamelia-es_ES.po  and wpamelia-es_ES.mo consistently with your instructions. But could not see the expected results.  I waited until the release of the new version of Amelia 2.7, and still have the problem of english in my service page. The wpamelia-es_ES.po on the new version contains all the translations. What could be the problem? I'm puzzled....
    2. One more item I would like to ask your help the service description text. Is it possible to include carriage return to separate paragraphs? Current it is showing a string of characters that with no separation between lines.

I'm attaching reference file. Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thank you!

    Hello Jose Jarque,

Apologies for replying late, we don't work on weekends.

    You are welcome.

    1. As I can see only the Services/Employees strings are in Spanish, and this is probably because of the Labels in Amelia -> Settings. Could you please tell me have you set your language to Spanish in your WordPress General Settings? If yes, which Spanish variation is it, since there are many so it can be that the one you choose in your WordPress isn't available in Amelia. Also, please delete cache on your website and you browser as well.

    2. Service Description field supports HTML, so for any styling of the text you provide there you need to use HTML in the field.

    Hello Marija,

Thank you very much for your advice. In fact I had the language settings with specific country spanish. As soon as I changed to plain spanish, and checked translation, it worked well!

Also, entering HTML on the service description fixed the styling of text.

    Great job! Thank you again!
