Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

Hi,
If I create a table using wpdatatables in my WordPress site, from a linked data source (Excel file) on my desktop computer, is it possible to automatically update new data inputted from my data source unto the WordPress site table?
This question is assuming i need to input data on my source file, and have internet connection issues, and would expect it to update as soon as i get connected, without having to update the site table myself again.
Hello Paschal
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
Tables linked to an existing Excel file use the file (from your desktop, for example), and create a copy of it in ../wp-content/uploads/YEAR/MONTH/ folder. The file in that folder is being used to generate the table, not the original file on your desktop. So, you can edit the file on your desktop, and copy and replace that same file in the Uploads folder. That way, the table will have the same structure, and the new data will be displayed in the wpDataTable.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
