Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Hello, I am using Amelia with wordpress and elementor pro to set up the website for a small medical practice. I want to add more filters to the service select system as it is very important for time management purposes wether the client is a new or old client. Is it possible to have the clients choose from a specific category when making an appointment? Or have a checkbox that will enable or disable certain services? Thank you

    Hello Mihai Eniu,

    Thank you for your purchase!

There are several views for the layout of the booking process with Amelia that you can set on your website: Booking view, Catalog view, Search view. So, you can check out the catalog view (shortcode [ameliacatalog]) where customers first choose a category and then a service and in the search view (shortcode [ameliasearch]) customers can choose several parameters, services included.

You can see how all of the views look like on our demo sites (you can see the front-end as well as the back-end) and you can find all the shortcodes that you can use on your pages following this link.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

    Hi Marija,

Thank you for the fast Reply. I will use the Catalogue view, but it would have been great to also have a personalised filtering method to ensure the clients can find the exact service they are looking for and this would not cause scheduling issues.

I have a few more questions. Is it possible to restrict the clients' access to the backend and only allow the user to be used in the customer zone? The 'send link to access customer zone' does not work for me for some reason and it never sends the email.

I also wanted to know whether is possible to have a catalogue view for the extras as well.

    All the best,

    Mihai

    Hello Mihai,

    You are welcome.

Check out the Search view as well, maybe it is more suitable for your use case. This is the view where they can search through the services and there are several filters.

There isn't any option in order to restrict the clients' access to the back-end but if they don't have credentials for it they can't access it. By disabling the option 'Automatically create Amelia Customer user' in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings , customers won't be created in WP and they won't receive login emails.

If the notification emails are not sent at all you need to check the Notification settings . You will find the instructions for this following this link. In the documentation we provided an example for Gmail so if you use SMTP and some other email provider you need to set the configuration they have for SMTP communication. If you use some other plugin for sending emails (SMTP) in your WordPress then you need to choose WP mail in Amelia for Mail Service and it will use that other plugin configuration for this purpose. Also, some hosting providers don't allow SMTP communication through some email providers, they have their own providers or have their own configuration. You can contact your host provider about this.

When you choose a service, then you choose one of the extras created for that service. They are chosen from a drop-down, and there aren't any options to change this.
