Hi, I am after cascading drop downs functionality, similar what you offer in Powerfull Filters, but it has to work on editing tables as well. Is there a way to turn drop downs into cascading drop downs on editing tables? I tried sandbox demo, and could not achieve it. When adding a row - drop down would always contain the full list, and would not resrtrict the list based on the previous selection . In attached example I have made Hotels table editable and change display for Continent and Country to "Single-value select box". When I add new row and choose continent, I expect Country list to be filtered down to asian countries, but it still displays the full list.
Is there a configuration to make this work?
I'd like to purchase this add on, but I do need this to work in adding/editing rows.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
The add-on works only for filtering. However, this is a great suggestion, and I'll ask you if you could post it in our Suggest a feature page? It will be forwarded to our development team, so they can look into including it in one of our future updates.
Looking at Powerfull Filter demo I was very much hoping cascading drop downs would work on editing rows, as well as in top filters. I.E. When adding a row - would resrtrict the list based on the previous selection, and not display a full list. Unfortunately it looks like this feture is not available. It would be great if it could get developed and included in a near future release.
Do you know if we could speed time the timing for it by paying for it? Would I have to go donw customising path? What would be the earliest this could be implemented? Just asking for a guide indication , not a commitment of course. Just to get an idea.
One of our developers saw the suggestion, and he said that this is a great feature that we do plan to implement. Unfortunately, I cannot say when since he already has a schedule for the next few weeks, and we're not sure if we'll be able to squeeze it in.
I will surely forward the customization request to him, and see if that may speed it up a bit, but I sincerely doubt, because we do not charge our users for custom development when a feature is already planned to be released. If he can provide an ETA which you're not comfortable with, though, it may be accepted as a customization request, but that too depends on the availability of our developers.
Well, we have a lot of feature requests from our customers, and our developers are including them one at the time. The more times a feature has been suggested to us, the higher it ranks in our "to-do" list. I don't know how many times Cascade editing was requested, but it should be high up the list.
I cannot say when it will be included in the plugin, unfortunately. Not even an estimate.

Hi, Aleksandar
Once again thank you for your timely response.

Hi again Lina
As previously mentioned, the more times this suggestion has been submitted, more likely this feature will be developed before others.
Unfortunately, our developers are not accepting any customization requests at the moment, so we can only wait until it has been developed.

Aleksandar, thanks again for your diligent response.
Please do let me know the estimate for this feature's implementation when it is scheduled in on your end.
PS: Just raised another ticket - bug, that's a bit of a show stopper.
Kind regards, Lina
