Hey there, Awesome Customers!
Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.
We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Catch you on the flip side!
Warm regards,
TMS
I'm using this plugin to load lunch menu items and descriptions for a daily menu that can be updated from a Google Sheet.
There are only about 50 items in 11 tables.
The pages load extremely slowly. Each one take 15-30 seconds to load. Here's a link to a fully loaded menu page: https://miartisan-ppsj.com/cafe/mon_17/
I have tested and loading the same page with no WPDataTables takes under 2 seconds. Here's a link to that page: https://miartisan-ppsj.com/tms-support-test-menu-page/
That said, loading the back-end Google sheet that the data is loading from also takes only 1-2 seconds.
What can I do to speed this process up?
Hello Omar
Can you please test your existing Google Spreadsheet on our sandbox site?
My guess is that they will load faster, simply because we're on a different server. If you can confirm that your Google Spreadsheet files load faster when placed on front-end on our sandbox, then I can say that this is happening due to your server's performance. The data is being pulled using CURL, and we don't have any caching for tables connected to an existing Google Spreadsheet. That's why they are being loaded every time on page load, or page refresh.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
