We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
What is the good method for translation.
I put my mo/po in languages/fr_fr directory.
But after update, my translations disappear
Regards
Hello Laurent,
Could you please tell me are you modifying one of the translations that already exist in Amelia? if yes, then unfortunately we can't add this to Amelia since there is already existing translation there. So if this is the case, you need to add these files manually after each update.
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,
Hello,
the Amelia translations are really incomplete. I wish to translate the whole.
But just have to complete, not have to redo everything with each version. It makes sense that the content of Amelia's translations in the plugin will be overwritten. But some other plugins allow you to put the translation files elsewhere which allows you to read them in the desired order. First the personal translation is used and then the Amelia translation in the plugin itself. WordPress allows it. No special authorization required.
Thank You
hi,
an example with your translation starting with the previous version.
419 non translates in the po file. 0 After my translation.
If I use Poedit to compare with the new version, there's only 8 texts to translate.
I just prefer translate 8 phrases ..
regards
Hello Laurent,
Unfortunately, there isn't an option in Amelia with its current built-in features to put your translations and overwrite the existing ones. I will add your request to our list so we can consider implementing something like this in the future. For now, you need to manually add the files from your local machine after each update.
Amelia is available only in English from our side, and our users translate the plugin to other languages and send us their translations so we can include them in our updates. We probably had some changes in our recent updates so that is maybe why some of the strings are missing. If you translated these strings and you haven't modified the language/strings in the old French translation (by this I mean you haven't modified them maybe for your use cases) you can send us the translation so we can add it to the next release.
hi
if I send you the .po file, will you continue the work?
thank you
Hello Laurent,
When you finish the translation you need to send us both .po and .mo files for French language so we can add these to the plugin.
