Click next page or page 2 and the table disappears from view
Please see the attached video which show the problem
Hi dmsims
The table is still there, but since the data on first page is larger than on the second page, your browser is keeping your screen in the same position, and you need to scroll up a bit to see the table.
The first page's table height is 1915px, while second page is 581px. That's why it looks like the table disappears from the second page unless you scroll up.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Thankyou for the explanation
This is a UX bug, when will it be fixed ?
Even Tablepress does not do this!
Hello again dmsims
wpDataTables doesn't have a feature to return you to the beginning of the table. The table is loaded in the same place on the table, but since it is big you need to scroll down to see all 10 rows. When you do, your moving away from the start of the table, and you're going down to a different section of the page.
When you change the table's page, you're still in the same spot on the page, and the table starts in the same place - it doesn't change it's location. That's why you're still on the same page section when you switch to a different page.
I will forward your suggestion to our development team, but I don't know if they'll be able to do anything about it.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
