We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I am trying to create a table using a simple SQL query (i.e. SELECT * FROM `registry_hospitals`). By using the same query in the phpMyAdmin it works fine, retrieving all the data of the table. Nevertheless, when I use this in wpDataTables, it does not work and it gives back the following message: MySQL said: Table 'hellenic057434_wp_8xdjk.registry_hospitals' doesn't exist.
Obviously, the hellenic057434_wp_8xdj is the name of the database. I wonder what I need to do in order to make the plugin work.
Kind regards
Andreas Lazaris
Hello Andreas.
Thank you for your purchase, and sorry for the inconvenience.
From version 2.3 we've implemented a feature that you can use multiple separate DB connections for MySQL, MSSQL and PostgreSQL. For MySQL engine we are dynamically adding the accent grave ( ` ), so there's no need to use it around the table name in the query.
Can you please try with this:
and let me know if it works?
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi Aleksandar
Thank you for your reply
I think that the problem was that I was trying to call for a table which was not on the default DB of my Wordpress website. I assume that I have to use the SEPARATE DB CONNECTION option from the Settings, where I will toput the details of the DB where the tables I need to look at exist. I am going to do this and will let you know about the outcome.
Thank again for your kind answer
Regards
Andreas
Hi Andreas.
That could be the case, of course. If the table is in a different database, then you do need to add a separate DB connection in order to connect to that DB.
Also, when you do that, you will see a database selection drop-down when you enter the "Create a table" screen, where you need to select the database you want to create a table from.
Kind Regards,
