We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
I've just purchased Amelia, and I have some questions as I'm setting everything up.
Thanks very much,
Helene
Hello Helene.
Thank you for your purchase.
1. Unfortunately, you can't change the duration of services, so if you configure the service to last 60 minutes, all lessons will last 60 minutes. You can either create two separate services (one for introductory lessons, and the other for regular lessons), but I don't know how feasible that would be, or simply add a custom field at the end of the booking form, informing people that your introductory lesson lasts 15 minutes longer.
2. Amelia has only one calendar, but it can have multiple services and events. So, you can create different pages where people would be able to book other services and/or events. You can take a look at our list of shortcodes in our FAQ section.
3. You can click on the circle, and choose the color there:
If you mean the big circle - where it says "S2", you can apply a custom image there. Just access the service, and click on the circle, and you'll be able to upload an image there.
4. Unfortunately, at the moment we don't have a bulk purchase option. We're looking into adding that as a feature, but until then I can offer a work-around.
You can create a service which would be named "Bulk Purchase" for example, and it would cost a certain amount. Then, you would need to create a 100% discount coupon which could be used 9 times, and limit the usage to 9 per customer, like this:
My advice would also be to enable the notifications, so they get an e-mail with the discount coupon, explaining that they need to use the coupon for the remaining 9 sessions:
You would need to add the %coupon_1% placeholder to the e-mail, so they get the coupon code they can use.
After someone books the first appointment, they receive an e-mail with it, and they use it to book the remaining 9 sessions.
I hope this helps.
Sorry, but I don't see the screenshot. If you could re-upload it, that'd be great.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi, this could be a really big problem. If I can't schedule 45 minute appointments, with no break before or after, then I'm going to be wasting lots of my time between appointments, which won't be good. I only do a first appointment of an hour, then ALL the rest will be 45 minutes. Some people will come to see me each week for years, and all appointments are 45 minutes, so I'm not sure how this will work. The other solutions for changing colours and how to do the bulk bookings with discount coupons are good, and I'm glad to hear that you're working on a better solution for that. We just have to work out this 45 min thing.
Hello again Helene.
Please don't get me wrong.
You can have two separate services:
1. Introductory Lessons - 60 mins
2. Regular Lessons - 45 mins.
I was simply saying that you can't have one Service change the duration, that's all. You can set the "Default time slot step" in General settings of Amelia to be 15 minutes, and that will allow you to create Services wich last 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 minutes, and so on.
Kind Regards,

Well that's marvellous then! Don't know how I missed that.
Great news, Helene.
I'm glad to hear that's what you were looking for.
If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to open a new ticket, and we'll gladly help.
